In fall of 2020, KU was competitively selected to be a part of the 18th cohort of universities from around the world participating in the American Council on Education’s (ACE) 2-year Internationalization Lab. What has followed has been a deep dive into KU’s internationalization efforts and capacities with a focus on how we lead as an internationally engaged research university.
Staff Spotlight: KU Office of DEIB
To reiterate what Assistant Vice Provost for DEIB, Erin Duran, stated in the fall 2021 issue of The Lens, the KU Office of DEIB is committed to maintaining a welcoming and inclusive environment for all members of the KU community, including staff from recruitment and hiring, to the offboarding experience, and everything in between. Why Pronouns Matter
We’ve seen increased attention given to individuals’ pronouns over the past few years. Whether it’s on buttons or nametags or in email signatures, sharing the pronouns we use to identify ourselves has become more common. Why do they matter? How can sharing our pronouns make campus more inclusive for staff, faculty and students?
