Dedication of the Marker of Lawrence’s 1882 Lynchings
- Thursday, June 9, 6:30 p.m., Lawrence Public Library: “Anti-Black Violence in Lawrence and Kansas during the Long Reconstruction” lecture by Dr. Brent Campmey, with book signing to follow
- Friday, June 10, 7 p.m., Lawrence City Hall: Marker dedication ceremony with an informal gathering at Potters Field in Oak Hill Cemetery, where the lynching victims are buried, to follow
- Saturday, June 11, 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., Watkins Museum of History: “Then Three Were Taken” documentary film screenings. This is a ticketed event. Tickets are free but must be reserved online.

Includes a concert Friday night, a parade Saturday morning and a walking tour of Maple Grove Cemetery Sunday evening. The main celebration on Saturday features music, speakers, videos, family-friendly activities, social services booths, food and product vendors, and more.

- Saturday, June 25: Pride parade downtown (TBA); drag show and dance party at Abe & Jake’s – doors open at 7 p.m.
